The Grand Final of the Tribes 2 World Championship was played between USA West & Germany.
This is map 1, Slapdash from the point of view of USA West’s LO / capper Carveth. Carveth rotated his role throughout the finals as can be seen in the other demos, showing his versatility even though this wasn’t a great map for him in this case.
Each map was played on both teams servers to attempt to cancel out the ping issues – in this recording the map was played on Germany’s server choice.
Flag captures were worth 100 points, flag grabs from the stand were worth 1 point which were used as a tiebreaker)
USA West had to get past an undefeated Finland to make the final, while Germany progressed after USA East were disqualified for using banned tactics (I believe this was manually launching missiles from an MPB at the oppositions vehicle pad from across the map) as well as unsportsmanlike behaviour.
The match was shoutcasted in both English and German (although I have no idea if these are available anyway – if you can find them please let me know and I will redo the demo with the shoutcast audio synced).
