Tribes 2 TAC2 – 24/04/2015

I wanted music, but the video length hates me! (As does my music selection).

This here is actually a fine demonstration of the invisible kind of balance that is normally ignored in TAC. The scores for this match appear massively unbalanced (and as a matter of fact, we’d have been 50 points up if I hadn’t crashed the ship literally a second from match end), but in actuality there were no team unbalances at all, with the enemy team having one additional player over us. We dominated because the enemy couldn’t effectively coordinate their two ships – there were a lot of situations where one ship is engaging while the other is flying away from the fight at an angle, not supporting. There were a lot of times when an easy kill could be had by immediately charging and chasing down the ship that was paying the least amount of attention. Had they used a Havoc throughout or coordinated better, the match would’ve ended very differently.

The pilot swap that occurred just before I started recording didn’t have anything to do with our victory. Nope. Not at all.

We play every Friday starting (supposedly) at 9PM EST, for around 4-5 hours (depending on rage); server name ‘D/L mod @ www.tacmod.com’. Mod download is required, so follow that link! Mumble is optional, with server details being available on the forums (limit of 10 clients on Mumble).
