If you’ve never played Tribes: Aerial Assault on the PS2, well, try it! :) If you like first-person shooters (although, it can be played in third-person as well) this is a really fresh take on the genre, even though it is many years old now.
Thanks to the work of onlineconsoles.com, if you’ve got a copy of this game around, you can still play it online! And it plays great! I got lucky enough to play in a game scheduled by the community at tribesaa.net, and it was a blast. I’m terrible, but it’s still great. I used to play Tribes 2 on the PC in like, 1999-2000, but I never got to play the PS2 version hardly at all. By the time I got a PS2, it was well passed the prime for this game in terms of online participation.
Nonetheless, this video show some clips from the online game played on July 13, 2010. It was an awesome time, and hopefully not the last!
